About Dr. Nat
I grew up on Guam!
Growing up on a small island, I experienced a rich childhood celebrating multiculturalism and fostering diverse friendships. Conversations with strangers flowed easily in our tight-knit society. I've also weathered two supertyphoons, one >8 magnitude earthquake, and countless smaller storms and quakes. It taught me perseverance.

My parents met in church where my dad was the choir conductor and my mom was the pianist. My parents fostered the love of performing arts for my sisters and I as we took many music, dance and acting classes and performed in various local productions. As a physical therapist, I love practicing artistically and creatively to meet the needs of my patients.
I had an artistic upbringing!
I travel a lot!
Lived in Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Alaska, and now Florida. I’ve traveled to many other states and abroad to England, Netherlands, Germany, South Africa, China, Canada, Mexico... you name it. All these adventures? They've given me a knack for understanding different cultures and ways of life, making me a more tuned-in physical therapist.
I am proudly Korean!
I'm bilingual and have a deep bond with Korea. As a child, I visited every year, fostering my love for Korean culture. I lived in Korea after college for over 2 years teaching English and fell in love with Korean culture all over again. Despite the distance, I remain close to my family and continue to revisit Korea every couple of years.
My background as a Social Work Major with a minor in Gender Studies has greatly enriched my practice as a physical therapist. It heightened my sensitivity to cultural diversity and psychosocial dynamics, enabling me to engage more effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
I majored in Social Work!
I have pelvic floor dysfunction too!
Since adolescence, I've wrestled with pelvic floor dysfunction, which has given me a raw, personal understanding of the challenges my patients face. I genuinely connect with my patients, sharing not just my expertise but heartfelt empathy for how pelvic floor issues can truly disrupt life's rhythm and social connections.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are pelvic floor muscles?
Do you take insurance?
No.
Insurance-based practices often have restrictions and requirements that can limit the type of treatments we can offer and the amount of time we can spend with each patient. By offering cash-based services, we can bypass these limitations and focus on providing you with the best, most effective care possible.
Our approach is designed to help you achieve the best outcomes in a shorter amount of time, which can ultimately be more cost-effective than dealing with insurance restrictions and prolonged treatment courses.
We believe in being transparent with our pricing, so you’ll always know what to expect with no surprise bills or denied claims. Additionally, because our services are cash-based, we can offer flexible payment options and package deals that can provide added value and savings.
How is my chronic back pain related to my pelvic floor?
100% of people with chronic back pain have pelvic floor dysfunction. Pelvic floor muscles are key stabilizer muscles that work with your abdominal, hip, and back muscles to help protect your back during your daily activities. Chronic pain can make them shut down or become confused. Straining can also injure your back.
Is dry needling the same thing
as acupuncture?
No. Dry needling uses the same needles, but follows Western medicinal healing principles and targets known human anatomy. The purpose is to stimulate circulation in soft tissue areas that are hard to reach with just your hands or with tools. This has been shown to accelerate the tissue healing process in various studies.
How does shockwave therapy help my pelvic floor?
Shockwave therapy offers a non-invasive, effective treatment option for various pelvic health issues by enhancing tissue repair, improving blood flow, and reducing inflammation. Its applications extend to managing chronic pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, and pelvic floor dysfunction, among others.
How do I know if my problems are related to my pelvic floor?
Your pelvic floor muscles are a small group of muscles at the base of your pelvis. They support the weight of your organs, stabilize your spine, and control functions of your urethra, vagina/ penis, and anus. Your pelvic floor is struggling if you have chronic back/ hip pain, pelvic pressure/ pain, or any difficulty with pee/ poop/ sex.
Aren’t pelvic floor problems only a thing for pregnant women?
No. Every human body (male, female, intersex) has a pelvic floor. Issues with your pelvic floor can happen with injuries like falling on your butt or with having severe stress, which everyone experiences. (Of course,
pregnancy really affects your pelvic floor muscles too!)
So you are going to look at my genitals?
Only if it is appropriate for helping with your chief complaint and with your ongoing consent. It is not a requirement.
I am trained to perform internal assessments with the utmost care and respect for patient comfort and privacy. I explain each step of the process to my patients and address any concerns they may have.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported throughout the assessment.
